What kind of topics can I ask about here?

You can ask about NetSuite customization, scripting (SuiteScript 1.0/2.0/2.1), workflows, saved searches, integrations (e.g., Shopify, Salesforce, Boomi, Celigo), and troubleshooting system issues. The focus should be on technical challenges and practical solutions.

Which types of questions should I avoid posting?

Avoid asking:

1) Vague questions without enough details (e.g., “My script is not working, why?”).
2) Personal account or licensing issues (best handled by NetSuite support).
3) Completely off-topic questions not related to NetSuite or ERP.

Keeping your question specific helps others provide accurate answers.

What does it mean if my question is closed?

A closed question means it didn’t meet community standards. This could be because it was too broad, unclear, incomplete, or already answered elsewhere. Closure doesn’t mean it’s a bad question — it usually just needs clarification or editing before it can be reopened.

How can I create a clear, complete, and verifiable example?

A good example should include:

1) The exact problem you’re facing.
2) A minimal code snippet or saved search setup that reproduces the issue.
3) Expected vs. actual result.
4) Any error messages you received.

This format makes it easier for others to understand and test your issue.

What should I do if I disagree with the closure of my question? Can I reopen it?

If you feel your question was closed unfairly:

1)Edit your question to add clarity, examples, or missing details.
2)Request a review or flag it for reopening.
3)Be respectful and explain why you believe it’s valid.

Well-improved questions are often reopened by moderators or the community.

Why are some of my questions marked as duplicates?

Questions are marked duplicate if the same issue has already been asked and answered. Instead of repeating, you’ll be directed to the existing solution. If your case is slightly different, you can add details in the comments or explain why the existing answer doesn’t apply.

Why are new questions no longer being accepted from my account?

This happens if multiple past questions didn’t meet quality standards. It’s a system safeguard to maintain community quality.
To improve:

1) Review guidelines before posting.
2) Practice writing detailed, focused questions.
3) Edit and improve your old posts where possible.

Once your account shows consistent quality, restrictions may be lifted.
